Do I need an appointment?
We do encourage you to make an appointment. This allows us to provide you with
a more personal service experience and allows more time
to help you find everything you need for your dream
wedding.
Please remember, we occasionally run
behind during busy times but we will do
everything possible to make your wait a short one.
Walk-in customers are always welcome but please keep in mind we do get busy
and you may experience longer wait times.
Bridal gowns and veils, as well as your selections for bridesmaids, mothers and
formal occasions like graduation, are special orders.
These garments are cut and prepared to the
manufacturer's delivery schedule, which is usually 12 to
14 weeks. Please Remember: "Special Order" does
not mean custom order and may require alterations.
Champagne & Lace offers alterations at additional cost.
Faster delivery is often
available for an additional fee imposed by the
manufacturers. This special service is generally a
seven-week delivery schedule and the fee does not
include rush freight charges.
A 50% deposit is required at the time of your order and is non-refundable. The
balance is due within 10 days of our shop receiving your
special order.
All sales are final. This final sale policy is consistent with the industry
standard for bridal and special occasion apparel.
We compare the size chart provided by the manufacturer to your measurements. This
determines the correct size of garment to be ordered.
Please note that this is not a made-to-measure process,
so alterations may be required.
Professional, highly skilled seamstresses provide alteration services at
Champagne & Lace on-site and by appointment for an
additional charge. Alterations will begin once gown is
paid in full.
Please make an appointment for your initial fitting at least six weeks
before your big day. Be sure to bring or purchase a
Champagne & Lace bra or bustier, as well as crinoline
and shoes, so that the gown can be fitted precisely.
This will save you time and money on additional alterations.
Your subsequent fitting should be arranged right after your first. We will
provide you with an estimate for the alterations at this
time, so please discuss with us any additional details
or concerns you have before we prepare the quotation.
As part of our complete bridal service, we offer one complimentary pressing and
provide you with a protective plastic sleeve for
transporting your garment. We suggest that you remove
the sleeve and hang the garment carefully at home so
that it will require minimal attention before you wear it.
The Groom and his attendants deserve the same professional attention that
we give you. We offer great value and styling – with the same
friendly service you always get at Champagne & Lace.

What are the responsibilities of the bridesmaids? |
Back to top |
Although being a member of the bridal party is an honour, it is also a responsibility,
and your bridesmaids can incur substantial expense. No
matter how much they wish to, some friends and family may be
unable to accept your invitation to be in the wedding party.
Your gracious words of understanding and ongoing friendship
will be much appreciated.
The Bridesmaids should also expect to/want to assist you with the wedding preparation.
Be specific in your expectations, explain which expenses you
will be covering and what she will pay for (gown,
alterations, shoes, jewelry, hair, nails and in some cases
travel costs. Also consider the time factor, often 2 dress
fitting appointments are required too). Clear understanding
can prevent hard feelings and preserve cherished relationships.
The obvious expenses are the Bridal shower and Wedding gifts, and in the case of the Maid
of Honour, perhaps hosting the Bridal shower too! |
